United Artists for Climate

The birth of the first international community of contemporary artists committed to the environment

Born in the historic context of COP30, United Artists for Climate marks the first collective initiative of a global community of contemporary artists united around the climate emergency.

Launched by Art of Change 21, in partnership with Labverde (a major Brazilian actor in art and ecology since 2013), this new international community brings together contemporary artists from across the world who are concerned about – or already engaged in – environmental issues and who wish to take action together.

During COP30, from 10 to 21 November 2025

International artists highlighted their connection to the environment on Instagram through videos, artworks and testimonies to raise public awareness and call for commitments that match the urgency of the climate and environmental crisis.

In parallel, eight Brazilian artists – including Christian Braga and Margem do Rio – carried out artistic actions at COP30 and across Belém.
The two founding presidents of Art of Change 21 and Labverde, Alice Audouin and Lilian Fraiji, were also present at COP30 to advocate for culture at the heart of climate action, alongside We Make Tomorrow, the Climate Heritage Network and the Entertainment + Culture Pavilion. They spoke in the Blue Zone, notably during the opening of Culture Day on 12 November.
