10 Years of Commitment to the COPs! Welcome to our Special COP30 Edition!
Ten years after the Paris Agreement, COP30 (November 10–21) will open in Belém, in the heart of the Amazon, at a time when the +1.5°C threshold has now been surpassed. This decisive edition will mark the entry of culture into the official COP agenda, confirming its role as a driver of transformation. This milestone builds on the momentum initiated at COP28 with the Group of Friends for Culture-Based Climate Action and the Barcelona Declaration adopted at Mondiacult 2025.
For the first time, contemporary artists committed to the environment are joining forces internationally through
United Artists for Climate,
a global campaign initiated by Art of Change 21 (France) and Labverde (Brazil),
two pioneers in the dialogue between art and ecology.
Their ambition: to make artists’ voices heard, raise public awareness, and call for concrete commitments at COP30. Among the many international artists participating in the campaign is Olafur Eliasson.
This initiative is carried out in collaboration with Julie’s Bicycle, Climate Heritage Network, and the Culture+Entertainment Pavilion.
Art of Change 21 is a member of ACAA (Art Charter for Climate Action) and We Make Tomorrow, and the campaign is part of the France–Brazil Season.
This international mobilization includes two components:
Online: International artists will highlight their connection to the environment on Instagram through videos, artworks, and testimonies to raise awareness and call for action in line with the urgency of the climate and environmental crisis throughout COP30 (November 10–21).
Follow the campaign live on its dedicated Instagram page: @unitedartistsforclimat.
In Belém: At the same time, eight Brazilian artists — including several Indigenous artists — will lead artistic actions at COP30 and throughout Belém. The two founding presidents of Art of Change 21 and Labverde, Alice Audouin and Lilian Fraiji, will advocate for the recognition of culture at the heart of climate action, alongside the Climate Heritage Network and We Make Tomorrow. They will also speak in the Blue Zone, notably at the opening of Culture Day on November 12 at the Entertainment and Culture Pavilion.
