Isabelle Kowal

Director of Global Initiatives

A recognized figure in contemporary art, Isabelle Kowal has built an international career spanning over thirty years, working at the intersection of creation, education, and cultural diplomacy. Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris and holding a master’s degree in international relations from Sciences Po Paris, she has developed a distinctive expertise in supporting artists, designing cultural programs, and fostering dialogue between art and societal challenges.

Driven by a strong commitment to advancing climate action through culture, she joined the association Art of Change 21 in 2025, where she serves as Director of Global Initiatives and lead the United Artists for Climate campaign during COP30. In this role, she develops international projects that mobilize artists, institutions, and audiences around climate and biodiversity issues.

In parallel, Isabelle Kowal serves as President of the Friends of the Palais de Tokyo Prize and actively contributes to the international visibility of the French contemporary art scene, working in collaboration with ADIAF (Prix Marcel Duchamp) Villa Albertine, and the Centre Pompidou International Circle.
