What will the weather be like tomorrow? This is the question answered by a new kind of weather forecast imagined by four artists: Janne Nabb & Maria Teeri (Finland), Ane Graff (Norway), and Ingela Ihrman (Sweden). Weather Report – Forecasting Future, the remarkable exhibition in the Nordic Pavilion during the last Venice Biennale, will show in Kiasma, the Helsinki Museum of Contemporary Art, up to 16 August 2020. Exploring the materiality of objects, combining recycling, craftsmanship, and scientific practices (microbiology, chemistry, etc.), the works offer a new story that queries the role of humans in the world, at a time of global warming and declining biodiversity. A weather report announcing the end of the ecological crisis thanks to the abolition of barriers between the human and non-human.
